Art, Design, Technology Assistant £26,000, Hours 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday, during term time. Education Sector.

An Art, Design Technology Assistant is required to provide support to teaching staff within the design area.

The Successful candidate will have proven practical and technical skills. Strong organisational and ICT skills, understanding of the relevant Health and Safety regulation relating to the staff operation of workshop machinery.

Skills and Experience: Art, Design Technology Assistant

• To work alongside teachers during lessons and to assist designing and marking during activities when required

To provide support to teaching staff and classes within the design area.

• To help in the maintenance of a safe and productive area to work.

• To provide idea generation for the department (working with staff and the Head of Department) - helping to develop programs and adapting curriculum to meet individual student needs

• Organised, tidy and capable of maintaining tools, equipment and stock levels in a methodical and managed way.

• To help establish and maintain high standards of student behaviour needed to achieve an effective and efficient learning environment.

• Experience working in a workshop environment either in industry or education

• Art, Design, Technology Assistant must be ability to work in a team, and with young people

• This position would ideally suit someone who maybe retired from industry and looking to support the department technically
