We are on the lookout for a passionate and creative Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team at Keel Tavern, part of the exciting redevelopment in Keel Square in Sunderland's City Centre.

The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude, be excited about working with fresh, local produce and be keen to become a key support to the Head Chef and team.

Roles and responsibilities for the role:

- Preparing, cooking and presenting high quality dishes within the speciality section

- Assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes

- Preparing a range of dishes using fresh produce

- Assisting with the management of health and safety

- Assisting with the management of food hygiene practices

- Monitoring portion and waste control

- Overseeing the maintenance of kitchen and food safety standards
