Carriera is excited to partner with an award-winning independent property & construction consultancy who operate across the North of England. The business has been established for over 15 years and offers project management, cost management, and risk management services to clients in the residential, education, healthcare, leisure, student accommodation, commercial and retail sectors.

Due to recent growth across the company with the overall headcount increasing from 40 to 70 staff in the last year alone, the business is recruiting for a CDM professional to join the team and oversee projects across the North of England. Our client is recruiting for an experienced and competent CDM Advisor/ Principal Designer to join their established team working from one of their offices in the North West or Yorkshire (hybrid working is promoted across the business).

Responsibilities:

  • Offer a variety of health & safety services to a diverse client base.
  • Liaise closely with members of the H&S and project management teams.
  • Manage the H&S file from project start through to completion.
  • Review construction phase plans.
  • Maintain pre-construction information.
  • Attend design team and client meetings and offer advice on risk at pre construction stage.
  • Provide a CDM/ PD service to clients.
  • Carryout site safety inspections, investigations, and site safety audits
  • Develop new and existing client relationships.

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH Construction or General certificate.
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (desirable but not essential).
  • Professional membership to IOSH and APS (desirable but not essential).
  • Design background (desirable but not essential).
  • Knowledge and hands on experience of 2015 CDM Regulations.
  • Knowledge of building safety changes (desirable).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
