Do you have a passion for working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorders and helping them succeed in their educational journey? If so, GSL Education are looking for a proactive ASD Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Sunderland.

Key Responsibilities of ASD Teaching Assistant (TA): 

-        Provide personalised support to students with autism spectrum conditions. 

-        Assist teachers in creating and adapting lesson plans to meet student needs. 

-        Encourage student engagement and build their confidence. 

-        Monitor and report on student progress to staff and parents. 

Requirements for the role of ASD Teaching Assistant (TA): 

-        Experience working with students with autism is advantageous. 

-        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

-        A compassionate, patient approach to supporting learners. 

-        Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies. 

-        Have an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one
