We are seeking an experienced IT Support Analyst to provide comprehensive IT support for the Sunderland JIT and FOAM facilities. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of systems and services while maintaining compliance with local and corporate standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Support: Provide prompt 1st and 2nd-line support, performing detailed problem analysis and resolution for both production and office users across Sunderland sites.
- System Availability: Conduct daily system checks, including virtual environments and networks, to ensure uptime of critical and non-critical IT systems, minimizing production downtime.
- Hardware/Software Optimization: Upgrade and configure hardware and software to enhance user productivity and system stability.
- Network Maintenance: Monitor and address LAN/WAN issues to ensure consistent communication performance.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation and procedures to support operational continuity and build a robust knowledge base.
- Preventive Maintenance: Plan and execute preventive maintenance activities, including contractual servicing of essential equipment, to reduce downtime risks.
- Data Flow Monitoring: Proactively manage data flow on a shift-by-shift basis to prevent IT operational disruptions.
- Inventory Management: Maintain sufficient inventory of IT consumables to support day-to-day equipment functionality.
- Communication Systems: Manage and support telephone and email systems to ensure efficient internal communication.
- Nagios Support: Maintain and update Nagios implementations across sites, ensuring all devices are properly configured.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience in IT support, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Technical Proficiency:
- MCITP/MCTS SQL 2019 (or above) and MCSE/MCP Windows 2019 (or above) certifications (preferred).
- Hardware: Dell Servers, Cisco networking infrastructure, and Dell/Lenovo workstations and laptops.
- Software:
- Windows Server 2016/2019/2022
- Windows 10/11 and MS Office 365
- Microsoft SQL 2016/2019/2022
- Nagios monitoring tools
- Avamar cloud backup solutions
- Communications: Cisco networking, including switch and wireless access point configuration.
- Cabling: Experience with structured cabling systems, including Category 5 Ethernet and fiber optics.
