Zenith People are working with our client who have an opportunity for an experienced Production Manager to join them on a permanent basis.

Reporting into the Director, the main purpose of the role is to take responsibility for Managing the production facility, by leading and assuming full responsibility of all employee and production requirements. We are looking for a candidate with Strong Management skills and the enthusiasm to achieve high standards for the business as a whole.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assisting in attracting new opportunities into the business supporting its growth strategy.
  • Assist in the completion of the RFQ’s and project manage as and when required.
  • Check and improve organisational and system process, work to improve quality, productivity and efficiency ensuring the highest operational standards.
  • Efficiently and effectively manage, lead and assume responsibility for all production requirements and ensure components are produced safely, cost-effectively and on time meeting the required quality standards.
  • Responsible for executing the daily, weekly, monthly production schedules to ensure Customer on time delivery.
  • Manage and motivate the Manufacturing team, manage processes such as Recruitment, Training and Development, Employee Engagement, Performance Management, Employee Relations, Reward, Coaching & Mentoring etc.
  • Organise the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment.
  • Reduce company expenses and increase productivity across production. Implement all company policies, procedures and goals, ensuring project and resource requirements are achieved.
  • Set quality standards, ensuing all work instructions are up-to-date and accurate. always monitor productivity rates, standards and quality control
  • Ensure that all projects are directly attributed to your role, but share best practice methodology’s, ensuring project consistency and process repeatability.
  • Ensure all documentation related to the manufacture of parts are maintained and in line with all quality expectations.

  • Ensuring delivery deadlines are met and departmental budget adhered to (KPI’s)

Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications Required

* 3 years plus previous experience in a Production Manager's role

* Able to read and interpret Engineering Drawings

* 3 years plus experience working in cross functional business sectors

* Proficient in MS Project, Word, Excel and Powerpoint including MRP experience

* Risk & Conflict Management experience including strong negiotiaion skills as you will be required to assist in the submission of quotations from time to time.
