Finance AssistantNigel Wright are proudly working with a Sunderland based organisation who are seeking a Finance Assistant to join their team, initially on a 10 month fixed term contract. This newly created  Finance Assistant role is a full time position (37.5 hours) and will sit within their established finance team, supporting their current team with processing and systems. The RoleThis is a varied Finance Assistant role that will cover Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, Income Management, Payroll and other adhoc Finance related duties.Typical duties will be:
  • Checking, coding and entering purchase invoices
  • Supplier statement reconciliation
  • Income analysis
  • Calculating and raising sales invoices
  • Assisting the maintenance of the income contracts register
  • Credit control and debt collection
  • Assisting with the maintenance of the supplier contracts register
  • Petty cash and expenses
  • Assisting with monthly payroll processing and payment
  • Credit card and purchasing card processing.
  • Preparation of journals
  • Other adhoc finance duties 
The CandidateThe ideal candidate for this role will have: 
  • At least 2 years accounts/ finance experience
  • AAT Qualified / or any other related finance qualification
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Adaptable and enthusiastic approach to work
