About the Role: As a Gambling Engagement Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals affected by gambling harms. You will facilitate referrals to appropriate support services, provide one-on-one advice and structured interventions, and engage with community stakeholders. Additionally, you will deliver training sessions and develop support networks. Your work will involve close collaboration with other professionals and agencies to ensure a comprehensive approach to addiction support.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and deliver tailored interventions to individuals facing gambling-related challenges.
- Offer expert advice and support to colleagues within the organisation.
- Engage with stakeholders and build community partnerships to enhance service reach and effectiveness.
- Organize and lead group programmes aimed at addressing gambling issues.
- Promote and deliver community activities and training sessions to raise awareness of gambling-related harm.
- Facilitate referrals to appropriate support services for individuals experiencing gambling harms.
- Provide one-on-one advice, guidance, and structured interventions.
- Conduct assessments, provide brief and comprehensive interventions, and develop recovery-oriented care plans.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure the delivery of safe, effective services.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of gambling issues, community services, and safeguarding practices.
- Understanding of confidentiality and data protection requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong IT skills and proficiency in maintaining accurate records.
- NQF level 4 (or above) in a relevant field such as Health and Social Care or Counselling is preferred.
- Proven UK experience working in multi-disciplinary settings and with vulnerable populations.
- Demonstrated ability to provide 1-1 psychosocial interventions.
- Experience in community-based, peripatetic working, ideally with a focus on gambling harms.
