Children's Social Worker - Children in Care TeamWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Social Worker to join our Children in Care Team. In this role, you will play a vital part in the lives of children in our care, promoting their safety, well-being, and development as they navigate the challenges of being looked after.Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of children in care, providing ongoing support and guidance as they transition through different placements and stages of their lives.
- Work collaboratively with children, foster carers, adoptive parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualised care plans that address their specific needs and aspirations.
- Offer practical and emotional support to children in care, building positive relationships and fostering a sense of trust and security.
- Champion the best interests of children, ensuring their voices are heard, their rights are protected, and they have access to appropriate services and resources.
- Prepare reports and attend court hearings related to care proceedings, advocating for the best interests of children.
- Work closely with foster carers, adoptive parents, school staff, health services, and other agencies to ensure a coordinated response to children's needs.
We are looking for social workers with a strong understanding of the needs of looked-after children, proven experience working with children in care, and a genuine commitment to their well-being and positive outcomes.Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Social Worker: Must hold a relevant Social Work qualification (e.g. DipSW, BSc, MA) and be registered with Social Care England.
- Experience with Looked After Children: Proven experience working with children in care, demonstrating an understanding of the challenges they face and the support they need.
