The CompanyNigel Wright's Supply Chain and Procurement Team are working with a well-established Manufacturer to recruit an Indirect Procurement Manager for a 12 month contract, January 2025 start.The client will support hybrid working.The OpportunityAs part of the Leadership Team, you will manage the Procurement of Indirect Goods and Services across multiple UK/European sites. Key responsibilities will include:
  • Managing and devising indirect procurement strategies, ensuring alignment to overall company/group strategy locally and globally
  • Supplier contract negotiations, -performance management and -development
  • Supplier relationship management
  • Leading company-wide cross functional projects
  • Liaising closely with global teams
About YouThe ideal candidate will have/be:
  • Proven strategic procurement experience of indirect categories across multiple sites essential
  • Substantial Indirect procurement experience, preferably from within high volume manufacturing/engineering environment
  • Excellent track record of cost reduction and category strategy development - commercially astute
  • Strong track record in supplier relationship management and sourcing
  • Focused upon delivering continuous improvement and promoting purchasing best practice
  • Excellent communication, influencing and analytical skills
  • Accustomed to working at pace in a deadline-driven environment - robust and assertive
  • Must be available to start January/February 2025
