Part of a much larger group, which boasts over 140 years of trailer expertise and a global network of over 3,000 employees. Operating across the UK, they collaborate with some of the largest transport operators, trailer manufacturers, and supermarkets. We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Hardware Engineer / Trailer Engineer to join our team as a Field-Based Telematics Engineer.

The role

  • Visiting customer sites across theNorth-eastto install and serviceTelematicproducts
  • Carrying out necessary service calls
  • Arranging work permits, undergoing necessary health and safety training to work on third party sites
  • Deliver exceptional customerservicewhile working under pressure
  • Inventory management
  • Keeping up to date with latest product developments
  • Proactively sharing information and reporting issues
  • Completing all admin accurately and in a timely manner, including accurately and efficiently complete electronic job cards

Responsibilities

  • Working on HGV trailers and commercial vehicles
  • Telematics, auto electronics or technical hardware
  • In depth understanding of vehicle wiring diagrams
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve telematics issues, so a knowledge of EBS systems such as Haldex,Wabcoand Knorr Bremse would be advantageous
  • Able to work on your own initiative, solve problems and communicate effectively
  • Knowledge of EBS CANbus would be useful.
  • Take pride in your work, ensuring quality and accuracy
  • Excellent customer service skills, professional manner
