Here at Blueprint Recruitment we have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Civil Engineer to join an award winning company. We are seeking someone who can bring expertise and extensive knowledge to this role, focusing on drainage and highways. The successful candidate will work in a permanent position, on a hybrid basis, with three days a week in the client South-West London office. You will also be required to travel to site when needed.

Our client is a civil engineering consultancy focused on delivering innovative, sustainable infrastructure solutions, serving sectors such as transport, utilities, and multi-disciplinary engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

-Provide specialist knowledge and design for drainage, highways, and infrastructure projects (including 3D surface modelling and hydraulic drainage design).

-Represent the team at client, contractor, and local authority meetings.

-Design and gain approvals for S278/S38 highway schemes and S104/S106/S185 drainage schemes.

-Prepare Flood Risk Assessments and use relevant CAD and drainage modelling software (e.g., FLOW, Microdrainage).

-Deliver technical expertise, conduct Design Risk Assessments, and contribute to project hazard reviews.

-Coordinate with other design functions and manage tendering processes

Key Requirements:

-Degree level qualification in Civil Engineering.

-Chartered or working towards.

-Extensive experience of working on drainage and highway design projects.

-Proficient in relevant software tools.

-Experience in civil design, ideally within a consultancy.

-Strong communication and written skills.
