About the role

We are a rapidly growing Recruitment Advertising Agency based in the UK currently with a headcount of 46 person globally. We have been doubling our client base and the amount of recruitment advertising spend under our management every year in the past three years - and we are just getting started! Our current mission is to become by far the biggest Recruitment Advertising Agency in the UK in the next 3-5 years. Due to the rapid growth we are currently hiring a Finance Manager to help run our Finance team - there are still lots of further growth to come so exciting times are ahead. This role reports into our VP Finance.

This is a Finance Manager role in a rapidly growing SME where you will gain exposure to many different areas/aspects of Finance (e.g. AP, AR, treasury, month end, year end, VAT, corporation tax, directors personal tax, multi-entities, credit facility, process improvements, finance projects, cross department projects, business partnering, operational/business reporting, as well as gaining the opportunity to line manage 5 Finance Executives).

The core responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Manage and oversee all day to day processes of the finance function
  • Line manage, lead, and develop a team of 5 Finance Executives
  • Responsible for on time delivery of month end processes including detailed TB level review
  • Responsible for on time delivery of year end TB to external accounting firm and review of the statutory accounts and corporation tax comps and returns (as well as directors personal tax returns) produced by the external accounting firm
  • Ensure all statutory/company house/legal reporting requirements are met for Talent Nexus and three other smaller entities within our ecosystem
  • Ensure all operational and reporting requirements from our credit facility provider is met
  • Manage the payment run process including detailed review of schedules prepared by Finance Executives
  • Manage the credit control process to continue to optimise/lower our AR days
  • Support other departments with any queries and issues they have in relation to finance
  • Ensure quarterly VAT returns are prepared, reviewed and submitted on time
  • Support the VP Finance with operational, cross department, and company level business reporting
  • Support the VP Finance on business partnering work with other departments
  • Support the VP Finance across a number of ongoing finance projects
  • Support the VP Finance on any other projects and tasks as required
