RM Recruit are proud to be working with an excellent not-for-profit organisation based in Sutton Coldfield in their search for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team on a temporary, full-time or part-time basis working 30 hours or more for approximately 2 months. Our client offers flexible working hours, and this position is based on site. Additionally, there is potential for the contract to be extended beyond the initial term. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS upon appointment.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Accurately process supplier invoices, ensuring correct matching to purchase orders.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Perform regular reconciliations of the purchase ledger
  • Ensure payments are made in line with the agreed supplier terms
  • Code invoices to the appropriate ledger accounts
  • Prepare and process supplier payments via BACS, CHAPS, or cheques.
  • Manage supplier queries and maintain positive relationships with vendors.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Provide administrative support to the finance team as required.

Person Specification:

  • Immediately available or available on short notice
  • Proven experience in a purchase ledger or similar finance role.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
  • Proficient in using accounting software, Sage and MS Excel.
  • Ability to handle queries and resolve issues professionally.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to work in a fast-paced environment.
