Electrical Supervisor - Commercial Installations

Temp to Perm or Straight Perm position

The company is a UK leading organisation specialising in major mechanical and electrical installations within the food processing industry. The huge range of work carried out by the company includes process pipework and plant installations, planned and preventative maintenance, environmental services and many other engineering services associated with the food and beverage industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for an electrical supervisor with commercial installation experience to join the electrical engineering division, supporting electrical installation contracts across the Midlands.

Duties

As an experienced electrical supervisor you will be based at the companies Erdington office. Primary responsibilities will be to work with the engineering team to deliver electrical installation projects on time and within budget, according to the specification, engineering drawings and programme of works. Specific duties will include; the day-to-day monitoring of test certificates returned to the office. Arranging labour and materials to complete the projects. Carrying out basic estimating and tendering duties progressing onto larger projects as experience is gained. Visiting various sites to assess quality of work and to attend site meetings to assess client requirements as required. Carrying out various office duties including contacting wholesalers to request quotes for materials, scanning and sending of notifications of orders, purchase orders etc to head office. Along with assessing and writing job specific method statements and risk assessments. Other duties will include liaising with the general manager to control labour and day to day running of the business and reading and interpreting Electrical Schematic Diagrams and Drawings.

About you

Based ideally in Birmingham you will need to live within a commutable distance of B76 1AH.

Demonstrable experience of supervising commercial electrical installation projects with a strong electrical installation background essential for this role.

NVQ level 3 Qualified with AM2 or equivalent is essential, 2391 testing and inspection is preferred.

SSSTS/SMSTS and First Aid would be advantageous.

The role comes with a company vehicle so you will need a full UK Driving License.
