Role Responsibilities

As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for managing a large portfolio of personal tax clients, ensuring compliance and providing tailored tax advice. Key responsibilities include:

  • Running a portfolio of c.500 personal tax clients, handling tax return preparation, tax planning, and advisory work
  • Managing billing, debt chasing, and administrative responsibilities related to the portfolio
  • Supervising a part-time assistant, providing guidance and support
  • Handling c.80% compliance-focused work, ensuring all tax filings are accurate and submitted on time
  • Providing expertise on residency and overseas tax matters for clients with international tax exposure
  • Overseeing trust compliance, including managing c.15 trust tax returns (advisory work outsourced to a specialist)
  • Maintaining strong relationships with clients, acting as their trusted tax advisor
