1:1 Teaching Assistant (Year 3)
Full Time | £95 - £105 per day | Sutton Coldfield | November 2024 | Long Term to Permanent Contract

LTF Recruitment is seeking a compassionate and experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This full-time role starts in November 2024 and is based at a welcoming primary school in Sutton Coldfield. You will be working 8:30-3:30, Monday to Friday during term time.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support for a Year 3 student with ASD
  • Assist with academic, social, and emotional development
  • Collaborate closely with the class teacher and SENCO to track and support progress
  • Use creative strategies to engage the pupil in learning activities
  • Help the pupil with communication, emotional regulation, and sensory needs
  • Foster a positive, inclusive environment that supports the pupil's well-being and success

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a relevant qualification, such as a TA certificate or a degree in a related field
  • Have experience working with children, ideally those with special educational needs (SEN)
  • Be patient, adaptable, and committed to meeting the individual needs of the pupil
  • Quickly establish rapport with the pupil and school staff
