Winner Education are thrilled to be recruiting a Teaching Assistant for a primary school based in Sutton Coldfield. This school has an amazing reputation for both its staff and pupils. Applicants must be readily available due to the urgency of the position. The role is full time, on a long-term placement until the end of the academic year. You will be providing general classroom support with some 1:1 interventions so must have previous experience of this.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Provide general classroom support for KS1 pupils
- Support class teacher in preparing and tailoring learning materials based on learner requirements
- Provide general classroom support
- Phonics support
- Monitor pupil progress and communicate progress with main class teacher
- Provide 1:1 interventions
The successful Teaching Assistant will:
- Have previous experience working with KS1 children
- Be required to work as a team member
- Have a passion for developing children and encouraging independence
- Need to have a friendly and positive persona
- Require a strong understanding and knowledge of safeguarding
- Display the skills to be an excellent role model
