Role Overview:
As a Tool & Die Maintenance Service Engineer/Technician, you will be involved in the highly skilled, complex, and specialist work of maintaining engineering tooling used to produce components, products, and assemblies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance and Manufacturing: Manufacture new tooling according to engineering drawings and timing plans. Perform proactive maintenance on moulding tools, ensuring they are in good condition for production.
  • Quality Assurance: Adhere to high standards of housekeeping and health & safety. Ensure all parts of the tool are carefully stored to avoid damage.
  • Problem-Solving and Communication: Investigate issues to find root causes and communicate findings to the design department and management to prevent future issues. Liaise with setters over any mould tool issues.
  • Systematic Work: Follow instructions systematically and maintain tooling to the correct standards. Log any concerns, issues, and repairs accurately.
  • Maintenance of Equipment: Maintain spares and equipment to minimize repair times. Keep the working area to a high standard, adhering to 5S principles.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with team members, designers, and CAD/CAM programmers to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • High Tolerances: Work to the highest tolerances, ensuring precision and quality in all tasks.

What We're Looking For:
  • Proven experience in tool and die maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and technical instructions.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of housekeeping and health & safety.
  • Proficiency in working to high tolerances and maintaining 5S standards.
