We have two offices in Tamworth and Sutton Coldfield.

We are looking for a competent effective and timely person to join our friendly team in an administration function at our town centre accountancy practice in Tamworth, on a temporary basis for initial training within the accountancy role, with a view to move to our new offices in Sutton Coldfield. The candidate will need to have knowledge and experience within accountancy to apply.

Duties

  • General Office Duties, answering telephone, meeting & greeting clients, sationery ordering,
  • Database (SPS) management, onboarding clients, keeping database compliant.
  • Workflow administration for the annual self-assessment tax return process and accountancy process to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Communication with relevant organisations (HMRC)
  • Filing Tax Returns, checking and storing information correctly
  • Filing of Company Accounts.
  • Incorporation of companies, updating companies house.

Skills and experience

  • Knowledge and experience within an accountancy practice - essential
  • High attention to detail - essential
  • Excellent communicator with individual and team player skills - essential
  • Sage Practice Solution - desirable, but not essential
  • Sage Line50 - desirable, but not essential
  • IT skills in Microsoft Word & Excel - essential
  • A minimum of 2 years office experience - essential
  • Good level of English and Maths - essential
  • Knowledge of GDPR, AML - desirable, but not essential
