Business Development Manager Freight
Offering a salary of up to £40,000 per year, depending on experience plus bonus structure.
Previous experience within Freight Business Development is essential.
Based in West Midlands (B75).
We are currently working with a Freight Forwarder who are looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates with experience withinBusiness Development/Sales,particularly within thefreight industry.
The successful candidate will generate sales through the introduction of new customers and developing a client base.
Duties of the Business Development Manager will include:
- Generation and follow-up of sales leads, meeting potential and existing customers.
- Providing quotations where necessary and negotiating costs through.
- Build and maintain relationships with overseas agents.
- Offer an exceptional standard of customer service to internal and external customers.
- Arranging and attending sales meetings.
- Gaining verified information on existing and potential clients freight requirements.
- Presenting sales tenders.
- Account management.
This role requires a candidate who:
- Has experience within a sales role, within the freight industry.
- Excellent working knowledge of all freight modes, covering sea, air and road, across both imports and exports.
- The ability to work to strict deadlines and strives to achieve targets and KPIs.
Our client is looking for a candidate who has previous Business Development experience, however they are open to candidates with very strong freight experience who possess a strong, can-do attitude.
