Role Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Science Teacher to join a supportive science department. As a Science Teacher, you will inspire students to develop a love for the subject while ensuring high standards of teaching and learning. The successful candidate will teach across all key stages, including Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with a focus on delivering engaging and challenging lessons in line with the national curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Science for students in Key Stage 3 and 4.
Develop and implement differentiated learning strategies to meet the needs of all students.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and setting targets for improvement.
Manage classroom behavior effectively and maintain a positive learning environment.
Contribute to the development and improvement of the Science curriculum.
Work closely with colleagues to share best practices and support the overall development of the department.
Support the school's extracurricular activities related to Science, such as clubs or trips.
Maintain accurate records of student achievement and behavior.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
A relevant degree and QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
A strong passion for Science and education, with a commitment to student success.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to plan and deliver effective lessons that inspire students and promote learning.
Strong classroom management skills.
Experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and 4 (experience with Key Stage 5 is a bonus).
A flexible, professional approach to teaching.
A DBS on the update service or the willingness to purchase a new one through Aspire People.
