A Full-Service Creative Agency is now seeking a Development Designer to join their award-winning team in Nottinghamshire. A company that prides itself on producing world-class multichannel marketing services to a range of high-profile clients is offering this opportunity due to continuous growth.
The Development Designer will be responsible for developing innovative and eye-catching displays for well-known global and high street brands. You will be responsible for working with 3D Designers, Graphic Designers, Engineers and Project Managers. Duties will include:
- Developing award-winning cardboard engineering cutter guides.
- Weight testing and investigation of new structures, prototypes and materials.
- Taking on a range of briefs, from simple shelf trays to complex free-standing displays (FSDU's) and events sites.
To be successful in the role of Development Designer, the ideal candidate will offer the following skills:
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Background in cardboard engineering, packaging, structural design or product design.
- Experience in software, such as Artios CAD, AutoCAD, Kasemake, Impact or similar.
- An understanding of value engineering.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced studio environment.
- Comfortable pushing boundaries and challenging convention.
