Reports to: Finance Manager

Robert Half are seeking an experienced and proactive Credit Controller to join our client's finance team on a temporary basis with the potential to transition into a permanent role. As the sole credit controller, you will be responsible for managing the credit control function, ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments, and maintaining healthy cash flow for the company. This role offers flexibility in working hours while requiring a strong focus on accuracy and effective communication with customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor Accounts Receivable

  • Communicate with Customers

  • Manage Credit Risk

  • Issue Payment Reminders

  • Resolve Payment Discrepancies

  • Maintain Accurate Records

  • Prepare Reports

  • Negotiate Payment Plans

  • Ensure Compliance

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in credit control, preferably within a sole charge or similar role.

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to maintain professional relationships with customers.

  • Good attention to detail and accuracy in processing payments and resolving discrepancies.

  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload, reporting to the Finance Manager.

  • Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

  • Flexible approach to working hours, with the ability to manage your time efficiently.

Additional Information:

  • This is a temporary position for 3-6 months, with the potential to transition into a permanent role based on performance.

  • The role is office-based, but flexible working hours can be discussed to suit both the business and the employee.
