Mechanical Design Engineer required. Our client is a specialist manufacturer, supplying a range of industries with turnkey bespoke solutions based in the Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire area. The successful candidate will be joining an established design office using Solidworks.
Mechanical Design Engineer Job Overview- Producing technical assembly designs & manufacturing drawings with the use of Solidworks 3D modelling software
- Liaising with customers on design parameters
- Assist in the research and development strategy for the company and partake in hands on product development as may be requested.
- Ensuring designs are within the required legal framework
- Producing designs and renders for sales purposes
- Liaise with Purchasing to ensure the technical specifications are fully compliant and agreed for each contract.
- Reporting to the head of design
- HND qualified or similar within a Mechanical, Electrical, Design or Civil Engineering related subject
- Proficient with Solidworks, or similar 3D modelling software
- Full UK Driving License
- Based in a commutable distance of Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire
- Strong communication & relationship management skills
- 2+ years of experience within a Design Engineering role
- £30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience
- Monday to Friday, full-time, permanent position
- Holiday allowance and pension
