Mechanical Design Engineer required for a multi-national manufacturer & installer of bespoke handling machinery and control systems based in the Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire area. Our client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing team.
Mechanical Design Engineer Job Overview
- Specifying and designing equipment for processing systems with use of Solidworks
- Preparing Bill of Materials for the purchasing teams
- Assisting with quality assurance of components
- Documentation for colleagues, commissioning engineers, maintenance staff and end users.
- Liaise with other engineering disciplines to ensure the best process control for solutions.
- Selection of the most suitable equipment for application, environment, and duty, such as sensor types, motor types, and IP rating, including liaison with equipment suppliers.
Mechanical Design Engineer Job Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Mechanical Design
- Based in a commutable distance of Kirkby-in-Ashfield
- Qualifications with manufacturing or design related subjects
- Driving License
Mechanical Design Engineer Salary & Benefits
- Salary £35,000 - £45,000 - depending on experience
- Monday to Friday, 37.5 hour working week with flexible start times
- 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays
- Stakeholder Pension
