About the Role:

We are looking for a Business Support Officer to join the London Borough of Sutton's Social Care Support Team. You will play a key role in delivering administrative support for Adults and Children's Social Care, ensuring smooth and effective operations.

This is a hybrid role, primarily remote, with attendance at the Civic Offices at least once a week (or more when required).

Key Responsibilities:

Organising and minuting safeguarding meetings in line with Sutton's Child and Adult Protection ProceduresCoordinating statutory and complex meetings, ensuring deadlines are metHandling Subject Access Requests, social care complaints, and recruitment supportProcessing referrals, applications, correspondence, emails, and phone callsMaintaining accurate data records and ensuring compliance with data protection and confidentiality regulationsManaging client relationships and providing excellent customer serviceContributing to service improvement initiatives

What You Need:

Proven experience in business support or administrative roles, preferably in a social care settingStrong minute-taking skills for complex safeguarding meetingsTyping speed of 50+ WPMProficiency in using IT systems and databases to manage workflowsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritise workloadKnowledge of data protection, confidentiality, and information governance
