Business Support Officer -

Hours- 36 Hours

Pay-£16.00

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a range of administrative tasks across various services within set deadlines.
  • Assess applications for compliance with legislation and established criteria.
  • Handle bookings for the Inclusion Centre, ensuring income optimisation.
  • Deliver excellent customer service, managing client expectations effectively.
  • Conduct risk assessments and health & safety checks.
  • Maintain a clean and presentable building environment.
  • Provide guidance on eligibility for Blue Badge, Taxicard, and Freedom Passes.
  • Undertake inductions for new customers and perform Fire Warden duties.
Core Accountabilities
  • Record and manage financial transactions, ensuring compliance with council policies.
  • Procure goods/services within financial limits and council guidelines.
  • Operate tools/machinery and manage minor maintenance or escalate for repair.
  • Allocate tasks to junior staff and ensure operational efficiency.
Skills and Experience
  • Proficient in IT systems to deliver efficient and customer-focused services.
  • Strong time management, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communicator with experience handling public inquiries and challenging situations.
  • Knowledgeable about health & safety, confidentiality, data protection, and diversity policies.
  • Experienced in risk assessment and implementing procedural updates.
