AKTON Recruitment is working closely with the local authorities and we are looking for a Assistant Team Manager in the Sutton. We are seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant Team Manager, with a minimum of 2 years management and social care experience for Sutton's new initial contact team.

This is an exciting opportunity to assist to develop our new front door, to embed strengths based screening and proportionate OT work, and to forge links with the voluntary sector and community. We aim to achieve the best outcomes, enabling people to be as independent as possible and to live the lives they want.

You will provide supervision, guidance and support to 2 Occupational Therapists and 4 Enabling Independence Officers.

You will be line managed by the Team Manager in initial contact, and receive clinical supervision from the OT Team Manager.

As an Occupational Therapy Assistant Team Manager, you will support the delivery of our statutory social care duties, ensuring that work is of a high standard.
Our Occupational Therapists take a person-centred approach whilst working within a multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will demonstrate the following competencies:

You will have -
Degree or an equivalent qualification in Occupational Therapy and registered with the HCPC
A Minimum of 2 years management and supervisory experience
Experience of Occupational Therapy (minimum 2 years) within a Local Authority including major adaptations and complex manual handling.
Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and the principles of safeguarding.
You will need to demonstrate experience of completing holistic assessments for the provision of services such as recommending equipment, minor and major adaptations, moving and handling risk assessments, mobility assessments and re-housing support.
