Tradewind is offering a fantastic opportunity for a General Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a supportive, mainstream primary school in Sutton. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys helping students on a 1:1 basis and is dedicated to making a positive impact on their educational journey.

The school is seeking a proactive and caring individual to support students, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The team is welcoming, and they are committed to providing SEN training for new TAs joining their school community.

About the role:

  • Provide support to students on a 1:1 basis, helping them succeed in their learning
  • Lead intervention sessions with key pupils, supporting both academic and social development
  • Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) or Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
  • Assit the teacher with planning lessons
  • Full-time role: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4pm

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children with SEN, especially Autism, is preferred
  • Previous experience as a 1:1 TA or Learning Support Assistant is a plus
  • A friendly, confident, and dedicated approach to working with students
  • Must be available for a long-term commitment (Monday - Friday)
  • An Enhanced DBS Disclosure, professional reference checks, and eligibility to work in the UK are required
  • Your CV should cover the last 10 years of employment history, with any employment gaps explained
