The Role

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Accounts Manager to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the accounts team, ensuring efficient workflow, high standards, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Team Leadership & Development: Line manage and develop staff within the accounts team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

  • Workflow & Process Management: Implement and manage accounts workflow procedures to ensure consistent and high-quality accounts preparation.

  • Resource & Deadline Management: Oversee incoming accounts jobs, ensuring adequate resources are available to meet client deadlines. Identify resource gaps and propose solutions.

  • Accounts Preparation & Review: Supervise and review the preparation of statutory accounts (FRS102, FRS102 1A, and FRS105) from both computerized and manual records.

  • Client & Partner Liaison: Report directly to Partners, ensuring all queries are addressed, and key points are communicated effectively.

  • Client Interaction: Work with Seniors to coordinate with clients, ensuring work is planned efficiently and necessary documentation is obtained.

  • Accounts Assignments & Tax Compliance: Manage allocated accounts assignments and oversee the preparation of corporation tax computations and returns.

About You

We are looking for a proactive and professional individual with:

  • Qualifications & Experience: ACCA / ACA qualified with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience in a UK practice environment.

  • Leadership Skills: Proven experience in managing and developing a team.

  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and financial reporting.

  • Communication & Client Management: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage client relationships effectively.

  • Adaptability & Problem-Solving: Ability to produce high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.

  • IT Proficiency: Strong Excel skills and the ability to quickly learn new software.

  • Positive Attitude: A confident, professional, and can-do approach to work.
