Position: Sociology Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sociology Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Sutton. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher or a committed ECT to make a real impact on students’ learning and academic success.
The Role:
- Teach Sociology across Key Stages 4 and 5 (GCSE & A-Level)
- Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons that encourage debate, analysis, and critical thinking
- Plan and assess effectively to ensure excellent student progress
- Use a variety of teaching strategies to make Sociology relevant and engaging
- Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and student support
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Sociology at secondary school level
- A strong understanding of the national curriculum and exam board requirements
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A passion for developing students' understanding of society and social issues
