Position: Theology & Philosophy Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Theology & Philosophy Teacher to join a well-resourced and supportive Humanities department. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or a motivated ECT eager to make a real impact on students’ critical thinking and ethical reasoning.

The Role:

  • Teach Theology, Philosophy, and Ethics across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach KS5
  • Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons on religion, morality, philosophy, and worldviews
  • Encourage debate, analysis, and independent thinking in students
  • Plan, assess, and track student progress to ensure high achievement
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities, clubs, and discussion groups

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Religious Studies, Philosophy, or Ethics at secondary school level
  • A strong understanding of different world religions, ethical theories, and philosophical concepts
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • A passion for deep thinking, discussion, and inspiring students
