We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sociology Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Sutton. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher or a committed ECT to make a real impact on students’ learning and academic success.

The Role:

  • Teach Sociology across Key Stages 4 and 5 (GCSE & A-Level)
  • Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons that encourage debate, analysis, and critical thinking
  • Plan and assess effectively to ensure excellent student progress
  • Use a variety of teaching strategies to make Sociology relevant and engaging
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and student support

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Sociology at secondary school level
  • A strong understanding of the national curriculum and exam board requirements
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • A passion for developing students' understanding of society and social issues
