Daniel Owen are recruiting for a temporary Housing Manager, experienced in all aspects of tenancy management including Anti-social Behaviour, Assignments, Estate Inspections, Tenancy Review Visits and Tenancy Sign up.

The patch size is approximately 450 properties within the London Borough of Sutton

  • Enforce SHP's arrears recovery policy and procedure including proactive discussions with residents, pre-court visits and court/eviction attendance.
  • Prepare cases for court action and represent the Council/SHP in court.
  • Provide advice at tenancy sign up and termination to ensure homes are returned in good, clear condition and let promptly.
  • Carry out scheduled tenancy visits/audits and rectify any breaches of tenancy.
  • Provide advice and support to vulnerable customers and signpost them to other tenancy sustainment services.
  • Attend case conferences and multi-agency meetings and seek effective joint solutions to housing issues.
  • Promote and undertake resident consultation/ community development work
  • Facilitate and support existing resident associations and encourage new start-ups
  • Investigate and resolve service complaints seeking positive outcomes
  • Refer cases of tenancy fraud ensuring issues are carefully recorded and progressed.
  • Plan and participate in estate/community walkabouts, inspecting services with residents and other key stakeholders
  • Identify with residents estate priorities for minor works and estate improvements.
  • Assist with drafting newsletter articles and updates for residents including social, digital and printed media
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders solving problems through intervention and enforcement.
  • Manage tenancy actions resulting from compliance activities.
  • Ensuring that estates are maintained to the expected levels and that caretaking, horticulture and communal repairs are monitored in accordance with an agreed action plan following estate inspections, community walkabouts and site visits
