Housing manager needed in Sutton ref OR 1278 £20.57ph

Enforce arrears recovery policy and procedure including proactive discussions with residents, pre-court visits and court/eviction attendance.

Prepare cases for court action and represent the client in court.

Provide advice at tenancy sign up and termination to ensure homes are returned in good, clear condition and let promptly.

Carry out scheduled tenancy visits/audits and rectify any breaches of tenancy.

Provide advice and support to vulnerable customers and signpost them to other tenancy sustainment services.

Attend case conferences and multi-agency meetings and seek effective joint solutions to housing issues.

Essential:

Maintaining detailed, evidence based records using attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills

Remaining assertive whilst responding sympathetically and with understanding to residents with personal and sometimes distressing issues

Working on your own and as part of a team with minimal supervision

Be flexible and adaptable as first line. in a fast paced and busy environment, happy to take on a range of tasks and be flexible and adaptable

The ability to manage your time and organise priorities so that work is managed efficiently and to high standards 

Proven track record of providing excellent customer services

Proven ability to work methodically, follow agreed procedures and accurately record data and information

Take a proactive approach when working across estates and neighbourhoods’, by adopting mobile working with the use of appropriate IT and communication systems

Desirable: 

Experience of Welfare Benefits and Universal Credit  

Understanding of property maintenance, and disrepair matters 

Good understanding and knowledge of adult and child safeguarding responsibilities.

This is a temporary role working full time hours.
