We are working with a well-established organisation seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join their team. This role will support managers across the full employee lifecycle, ensuring best practice in employee relations, policy development, and change management.



The Role

As an HR Advisor, you will play a key role in providing expert advice and guidance to managers and employees, ensuring a proactive and solutions-focused HR service. You will be responsible for managing complex employee relations cases, supporting change initiatives, and contributing to HR policy development.



Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice on employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinaries, performance management, and absence.
  • Support managers through complex HR issues, ensuring legal compliance and best practice.
  • Lead on change management processes, including restructures, redundancies, and TUPE transfers.
  • Develop and implement HR policies, keeping them aligned with employment legislation.
  • Deliver training to managers on HR best practice and employee relations.
  • Line manage and support the development of junior HR team members.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to foster a positive employee relations culture.


About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree or equivalent experience.
  • CIPD qualification (or working towards one).
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Proven experience handling complex employee relations cases.
  • Experience in change management, including restructures and redundancies.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong HR systems experience.


Desirable

  • Experience in the not-for-profit, education, or healthcare sectors.
  • Knowledge of UK visa and immigration requirements.
