We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Learning Support Manager to lead and manage the provision of Additional Learning Support, delivering a high-quality, efficient, and legally compliant service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Additional Learning Support provision, ensuring it is effective, high-quality, and meets compliance standards.
- Oversee the delivery of support, including accurate recording, funding claims, and data management, such as maintaining the UNIT-e ALS module.
- Conduct audits, learner assessments, and observations to ensure that support needs are identified and addressed promptly.
- Work closely with curriculum teams, exams staff, and other stakeholders to facilitate access arrangements, support learner assessments, and improve the overall learning experience.
- Line-manage Learning Support Assistants, including recruitment, induction, performance reviews, and timetabling.
- Promote and maintain strong communication between the Learning Support Team, teaching staff, and external stakeholders.
- Monitor and analyse statistical data about Additional Learning Support to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Manage resources and budgets effectively, ensuring value for money while meeting learners' needs.
What We're Looking For:
- Level 7 Postgraduate Award of Proficiency in Assessment for Access Arrangements (or equivalent).
- Degree-level qualification or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant subject area.
- Knowledge of key curriculum developments within further education and expertise in Additional Learning Support.
- Proven experience in managing Additional Learning Support services.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage a varied workload and meet deadlines.
- Excellent literacy, numeracy, and ICT skills, including proficiency with MS Office and management information systems.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate teams to deliver excellent outcomes for students.
