An excellent opportunity to join a Surrey-based charity, located within each reach of M25, in a broad procurement and contract management role.  Starting salary up to £53000; benefits package includes very generous pension scheme and annual leave entitlement.  Hybrid working applies – 2 days on the office, 2 days working from home and 1 day out meeting with stakeholders at different sites, all locally based. Please note you will need to be a driver as some locations are not accessible by public transport.

You will be managing a range of categories (including Estates, Facilities, Utilities, Temp Agency and ICT), achieving cost savings and service level improvements.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Formal tendering and competitions from frameworks.
  • Developing market knowledge for assigned categories to create a deep understanding of requirements.
  • Identifying innovation opportunities for adding value and driving savings.
  • Managing relationships to drive efficiencies through frameworks and specific initiatives.
  • Leading on Supplier Relationship & Contract Management for the categories.
  • Ensuring that relevant contract registers are up to date.
  • Supporting the management and oversight of outsourced ICT contracts.
  • Providing expert procurement advice and guidance conforming to best practice.
  • Ensuring compliance with Public Contract Regulations and the Finance Regulations.
  • Undertaking detailed analysis to inform future procurement strategies.
  • Minimising reliance on waivers for procuring goods & services.
  • Analyse and interpret spend data to identify work for the procurement pipeline.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Public sector procurement experience, including managing a full tender process.
  • Knowledge of Procurement Act 2023 / PCR2015
  • Strong stakeholder and supplier relationship management skills.
  • A driver with access to own transport.
