Adult First Contact Service

Full time locum contract

Hybrid working - 3 days on site in Sutton

30p/h (potentially negotiable depending on experience)

Immediate start

Our Local Authority Client are recruiting an Occupational Therapist to support their Adult First Contact Service in Sutton, on a locum basis initially.

You'll be responsible for triaging referrals to the OT Service / urgent visits including moving and handling cases & priority DFG referrals.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct occupational therapy assessments to address immediate needs and reduce risks within a 2-week time frame.
  • Provide equipment, recommend adaptations, and collaborate with caregivers for moving and handling risk assessments.
  • Screen and prioritise occupational therapy referrals from residents, community partners, and health colleagues.
  • Supervise and guide Enabling Independence Officers acting as trusted assessors.
  • Facilitate resident access to appropriate support to enhance quality of life and well-being.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • HCPC Registration.
  • Experience within a Social Care setting or D2A/Rapid Response experience at Band 6 level or above.
