A Special school for pupils with various needs is seeking Teaching Assistants to start in April and September 2025 for long-term and daily supply roles.
Candidates should have a good knowledge of autism and the ability to work with challenging behavior, as a high proportion of autistic children attend the school.
The position requires flexibility to work with pupils aged 10-16 in both whole class and 1:1 settings.
Experience is desired but not essential, with personality and passion for the role being the most important qualifications.
The school is located in a welcoming area of Sutton, easily accessible from London, with competitive salary offerings.

A Special school (SEN) which caters for pupils with a range of needs, including Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Autism (ASD) and behavioural difficulties (EBD) is looking for Teaching Assistants to start IN April and September 2025 for long-term roles and daily supply.

There is a high proportion of autistic children attending the school so a good knowledge and understanding of autism is essential for the role. Also, being able to work with challenging behaviour would be beneficial. The role will be very varied, you will need to be flexible to work with pupils aged 10-16 years old in a whole class setting and also 1:1 work with certain pupils.

Experience is desired, but not essential. Personality and passion for the job is the most important thing. Experience from a different sector, such as Care, Sports or Charity can also offer valuable skills. The school is in a lovely area of Sutton, easily commutable from in or outside of London and the staff are very welcoming.
