As we provide 24/7 support, you need to be able to work shifts, including weekends, some evenings and Bank Holidays.

The role of the Wake In Support Worker is to support and work closely with the day Support Worker team to enable a continued high level of care during the evening and night for our service users to feel safe and protected during the night. Meet the requirements of the night duties around the residence. As part of your role, you will be required to work within the compliance, guidelines and policies of Blackstone Care, CQC regulations and our client's general needs, such as raising any safeguarding concerns and respect the individual's privacy and confidentiality.

What you'll do:

Key Care & Support Working:

- Wake In Support Worker experience desirable

- Enable our residents to feel greater independence throughout the evening and nights

- Promote personal growth in the evening and during the night

- Help develop new skills where needed

- Provide emotional support in the evening and during the night

- Complete support planning and risk management plans

- Providing practical support within the residence

- Enhance the skills of independent living in the evening and during the night

- Promote health, safety and well-being in the evenings and during the night

Medication Observance:

- Support residents who are struggling with medication concordance Support people who are stepping down to more independence.

Resident Management:

- Work with the day Support team to manage the general appearance of the residence

- Work with the day Support team to manage the residence rules and Blackstone Care residence policy

- Support to manage the residence's communal and personal areas

- Demonstrate an understanding of the challenges facing people with mental health/Learning difficulties

Compliance:

- All applicants must be legally eligible to work in the UK(sponsorship is not able to be offered)

- Proof of identity

- A valid DBS/Update Service certificate will be required

- Induction training will be required

- Care Certificate is desirable, not essential

- Strong references

- Strong verbal and written communication skills
