Financial Controller

Greenwellgleeson are recruiting for a Finance Manager to work with a manufacturing/ construction business based in Swadlincote.

Duties of the role will include:

• Full preparation and control of the production and manufacturing accounts

• Preparation of monthly management accounts

• Preparation of regular group reports including monthly management accounts, cash reporting and quarterly statutory consolidation;

• Working with site teams and the shared service department to review and understand monthly costs whilst improving reporting accuracy;

• Periodically visiting job sites;

• Reconciling key balance sheet accounts;

• Preparation of year end accounts and group consolidation (IFRS);

• Compliance activities: audit, tax and statutory returns;

• Provide technical accounting guidance where needed re UK/international GAAP;

• Support Chief Financial Officer in preparation of plans/forecasts; and

• Support Chief Financial Officer on ad hoc commercial projects

Skills, Requirements, Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant

• Manufacturing or Production Accounting experience.

• Proven staff management and motivation skills.

• Hands on with ability to get into the detail

• Strong Excel skills

• Strong skills in accuracy and attention to detail

• Ability to work well under pressure in order to meet strict deadlines

• Self-starter and ability to work with minimal supervision
