Long Term Futures is excited to offer an excellent opportunity for an SEN Teaching Assistant at a vibrant school in Swadlincote. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual who is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of SEN students. This full-time, long-term position has the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

In this role, you will provide tailored support to students with a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. You will play a key role in their development and progress.



Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and delivery of personalised learning plans to meet each student's needs.
  • Support students with personal care and daily routines while maintaining dignity and safety.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages independence, social skills, and personal growth.
  • Monitor and track student progress to support their individual development.


Essential Experience

  • Previous experience working with SEN students, particularly those with ASD/ADHD.
  • A patient, empathetic, and caring approach to supporting children with complex needs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to engage with both students and parents.
  • A proactive and flexible attitude.
