Sellick Partnership are exclusively recruiting a Senior Finance Business Partner for a council based in the East Midlands.

Job summary: Senior Finance Business Partner

  • To provide accounting services and financial advice for a number of the Council's responsibilities and in particular to act as the Council's key financial advisor on Revenue, Capital and Treasury matters.
  • To analyse and report on key financial data within the organisation ensuring that managers receive timely, accurate and relevant information.

Key responsibilities: Senior Finance Business Partner

  • Manage, develop and motivate staff
  • Prepare annual revenue and capital budgets
  • Monitor income and expenditure
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual accounts
  • Complete statutory claim forms and statistical returns
  • Prepare financial reports
  • Monthl balance sheet reconciliation
  • Treasury management

Person specification: Senior Finance Business Partner

  • Qualified accountant (or on the final paper)
  • Local Government experience - Please note that this is essential
