Job summary: Senior Finance Business Partner
- To provide accounting services and financial advice for a number of the Council's responsibilities and in particular to act as the Council's key financial advisor on Revenue, Capital and Treasury matters.
- To analyse and report on key financial data within the organisation ensuring that managers receive timely, accurate and relevant information.
Key responsibilities: Senior Finance Business Partner
- Manage, develop and motivate staff
- Prepare annual revenue and capital budgets
- Monitor income and expenditure
- Assist in the preparation of the annual accounts
- Complete statutory claim forms and statistical returns
- Prepare financial reports
- Monthl balance sheet reconciliation
- Treasury management
Person specification: Senior Finance Business Partner
- Qualified accountant (or on the final paper)
- Local Government experience - Please note that this is essential
