Machine Shop Team Leader

Machine Shop Team Leader required to join a well-established Manufacturing company that is based in the Swadlincote area and specialise in conveying & specialist handling equipment for the food, beverage & pharmaceutical industry. The successful candidate will be expected to run the machines shop which consists of two Hurco TM8 Lathes and two VM1/10 Milling machines.

• Organising the workload around yourself and two Machinists, ensuring parts are completed on schedule.
• Programming Setting and Operating
• 2-axis turning centre lathe work, predominately using stainless steel (Hurco TM8 Lathes)
• Reporting any production issues through to the Production Management
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

• Experience in a Management or Team Leader role.
• At least five years' experience working with and programming CNC lathes
• Hurco Lathe machine experience preferred but not essential.
• Be able to machine one-off prototype components.
• Be confident working with tight tolerances.
• Experience working with various materials, predominately stainless steel.
• Be able to read and understand engineering drawings.
• The ability to work well as part of a team but also be able to work well under own initiative.

• Full time - Permanent position
• Monday to Friday - 40 hour week
• Salary - 19ph - 21ph (DOE)
