Machine Shop Team Leader required to join a well-established Manufacturing company that is based in the Swadlincote area and specialise in conveying & specialist handling equipment for the food, beverage & pharmaceutical industry. The successful candidate will be expected to run the machines shop which consists of two Hurco TM8 Lathes and two VM1/10 Milling machines.
Machine Shop Team Leader Job Overview- Organising the workload around yourself and two Machinists, ensuring parts are completed on schedule.
- Programming Setting and Operating
- 2-axis turning centre lathe work, predominately using stainless steel (Hurco TM8 Lathes)
- Reporting any production issues through to the Production Management
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Experience in a Management or Team Leader role.
- At least five years' experience working with and programming CNC lathes
- Hurco Lathe machine experience preferred but not essential.
- Be able to machine one-off prototype components.
- Be confident working with tight tolerances.
- Experience working with various materials, predominately stainless steel.
- Be able to read and understand engineering drawings.
- The ability to work well as part of a team but also be able to work well under own initiative.
- Full time - Permanent position
- Monday to Friday - 40 hour week
- Salary - £19ph - £21ph (DOE)
