Exciting opportunity to join the technical team for this Derbyshire based fabrication and manufacturing business. You will need to be a HNC / HND / Degree qualified engineer with technical knowledge but also great communication and customer service skills. You will be providing quotes for customers, answering queries and providing technical information on the products available.

The Responsibilities:

  • Deliver quotes within set timescales to maintain company’s customer service targets.
  • Prepare load assessments and load calculations
  • Specify standard off-the-shelf products, and also custom-made items designed specifically for relevant projects.
  • Prepare lintel calculations at the customer’s request to satisfy building control authority.
  • Answer technical phone queries, whilst serving the customer with the highest level of technical and customer service.
  • Periodic office and site visits to develop customer relationships and to measure up/solve technical issues.
  • Collate information and prepare clear and structured technical reports on findings from sites

We’re looking for:

  • You will be educated to degree level or equivalent within a relevant Engineering discipline for example; Civil, Structural or Built Environment.
  • We are looking for someone able to build strong relationships and demonstrate a 'through the wall’ attitude for our customers, with the ability to provide outstanding customer service.
  • You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • You will enjoy working in a fast paced, target driven environment.
