Progress Teachers are currently recruiting for a 1-1 SEND Teaching Assistant on behalf of a lovely Infant and Nursery primary school in the Swadlincote area of Burton Derby. The role is to commence immediately until July 2025 and has the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate!   The roles involve working on a 1-1 basis with a pupil in Year 1 (KS1 ) who has Autism, ADHD, SEMH and challenging behaviour. Experience in a classroom supporting EYFS / KS1 studenst is essential.    Roles and responsibilities:
  • Support on a 1-1 basis
  • Develop resources that support learning
  • Attend third party agency meetings where required
  • Liaise closely with the school SENCO
  • Provide regular feedback to the class teacher on pupil attainment
  • Keep accurate documentation on student progress
  • Follow the schools policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
  • Have previous experience of working within the Education Sector.
