Document controller

Office based in Swanley, with 1 day work from home

8am - 5pm

A leading social housing property services company is seeking an experienced Document Controller to join its team. This position, based in the South East London office, will support contracts across South England, ensuring the efficient management and control of project documentation.

The Document Controller will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining project documentation. This role requires close collaboration with project teams to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and compliance with company and industry standards. The primary focus will be on utilizing Aconex to streamline documentation processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain project documentation using Aconex, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Support project teams with document submissions, retrievals, and approvals.
  • Develop and implement efficient document control procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all project correspondence and ensure version control.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to manage document distribution and submission.
  • Regularly audit documentation to ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide training and support to team members on Aconex as needed.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Proven experience as a Document Controller in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in using Aconex for document management.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working.
  • A proactive mindset and the ability to work independently when required.
  • Knowledge of social housing and planned maintenance projects (desirable but not essential).
